I'm trying to understand Slide Master.
I created a Template and edited a Slide Master to have a consitant look and
feel with our logo and such. This works fine. The thing I don't understand
is that in Slide Master View I see several Layouts indented under the
Top/First layout. When I use the Template for a PP and select Layout I don't
see the same lsit of Layouts from the Slide Master. Specifically I have a SM
Layout with a bullet list but in my layout selection it's not there? I can
manually add a bulltit list but why don't I have the layout? Is there any
documentaion that better explains what a SM is and how to use it? I'm so
confused.
Thanks Much
JohnH

JohnH,
Are you saying the slide layouts from the master are not showing up when you
click on the Layout button, slides group, of the Home ribbon? Normally every
slide master has 9 layouts available. These should show up when you click
that button. But you can make your own if necessary. Maybe these pages will
help:

As far as seeing different layouts on the layout button than you see in
master view, I have not been able to duplicate the problem, but would love to
check it out.
Would you be willing to share?
John replied...
I'd be happy to share my presentaion. I'd love to find out if I'm just doing
something stupid. Not sure how to "share" in here? Don't see how to attach
anything and trying to paste a screen shot doesnt work.
Thanks

VBA to VB.Net code Help PowerPoint Hello all, I am an absolute beginner to VB and trying to write a one simple code. My issue is I wrote a working code to automate an animation within powerpoint i.e VBA and need to transfer it to a user form in VB2008 so simple button click will open ppt and perform the following actions. The code to open powerpoint with a blank side and apply the ppt object library isnt a problem, just a Visible = msoTrue .Line.ForeColor.SchemeColor = ppForeground .Line.BackColor.RGB = RGB(255, 255, 255) End With PowerPoint Discussions COMException (1) ShapeRange (1) PowerPoint (1) PageSetup (1) Shapes (1) Office (1) Error (1) EventArgs (1) I do not use your code to open PPT etc. Presumably it is getting an object reference to the PowerPoint app and presentation, and most likely the code below needs to be modified to work with that object reference; right now, it is written to run within PowerPoint.
